Der Blutdruck wird gemessen, indem die Blutdruckmanschette aufgepumpt wird und der Druck auf die Arterie im Arm erh\u00f6ht wird. Die Messung erfolgt durch das Aufpumpen der Manschette und das anschliessende Ablassen des Drucks. W\u00e4hrend die mechanische Messung pr\u00e4ziser sein kann, erfordert sie spezielle Kenntnisse und kann unangenehm sein.
